Jesse, I could safely go up to 512 and down to the minimum with 0.4.3, but 1024 and above always broke. Watching 'top' while I played with freqtweak, I never saw it go above 30% on my P3-500. On my Athlon 850 freqtweak only uses about 15% of the CPU when at 256, and jumps up to just about 20% when going to 4096, so it's not apparently over taxing the CPU in any big way. However, on both machine I see xruns when changing bin sizes. I suspect that this is the only real problem. Break your jack connection, change bin size, reestablish your jack connection, sounds like a better way to make changes like this. Take care, Mark -----Original Message----- From: fre...@li... Yes, I probably need to deactivate the client when I do this. I definitely should just reconnect.... Does this mean you have not been able to use it in any other bin size? Hmm... in the meantime try minimizing the spectragram plots by clicking on their title buttons.... this should reduce the load a good bit... jlc ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek Welcome to geek heaven. http://thinkgeek.com/sf _______________________________________________ Freqtweak-user mailing list Fre...@li... https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/freqtweak-user |
