Okay that's more data.
Http POST with JSONized content payload could send some usage data back. I don't know how to anonymize data, such as url and installation instance, that would be useful to correlate across, but I suspect there's a way to convert input ids into something like an encrypted uuid, which can be used for correlating data. I hear mongodb is better for realtime collection and hadoop for batch. Users could opt in on first run, with a popup that explains.

Hi Doug;
Been busy at work, and trying to start projects on cloud, big data and visualisation. So, your thoughts are not out of line.
But as to tracking, nothing has been put into place, and I think the web pages say so.
The web pages, however, to track (look for the icon on the bottom) where people come from, and the google play store does give some info, too. I'll try to post some of the info on the android stats when I'm back at a real computer! (Ie, not a 7" tablet...)
