Hi, Ian. Thanks for replying so quickly. :) It appears the problem was that, after installing FreeWRL, I forgot to run ldconfig to get it to update the cache (BTW, /usr/local/lib, where libFreeWRL.so is located, is in ld.so.conf). However, now what I'm getting when iceweasel tries to load a .wrl file is a window that disappears as quickly as it appears. When run from the command-line, iceweasel renders the following output: 1286296890.372162: FreeWRL plugin: NPP_Initialize 1286296890.373249: FreeWRL plugin: NPP_New, argc 3NP_EMBED 1286296890.373483: FreeWRL plugin: after memalloc 1286296890.373596: FreeWRL plugin: Pipe connection to FW_Plugin->interfacePipe failed plugin_main.c,759 1286296890.373676: FreeWRL plugin: Pipe created, PIPE_FREEWRLSIDE 52 PIPE_PLUGINSIDE 51 1286296890.373759: FreeWRL plugin: file pair created, SOCKET_1 54 SOCKET_2 53 1286296890.373847: FreeWRL plugin: NPP_New returning 0 1286296890.378125: FreeWRL plugin: start of NPP_SetWindow 1286296890.378285: FreeWRL plugin: file name in SetWindow is (null) 1286296890.378358: FreeWRL plugin: NPP_SetWindow, plugin display now is 8f1c3f0 1286296890.378430: FreeWRL plugin: NPP_SetWindow, moz window is 3a00001 childPID is 0 1286296890.378504: FreeWRL plugin: NPP_SetWindow, running FreeWRL here! 1286296890.378579: FreeWRL plugin: start of Run system error: No such file or directory system error: No such file or directory Thanks for your help. -- Harmon On Tue, Oct 5, 2010 at 11:04 AM, Ian Stakenvicius, Aerobiology Research <ia...@ae...> wrote: > On 05/10/10 11:51 AM, Harmon Nine wrote: >> Hello. >> >> I've downloaded and compiled Freewrl from source, including the plugin .so file. >> >From what I can tell, the plugin library is >> >> libFreeWRLplugin.so >> >> which was installed in the /usr/local/lib/mozilla/plugins directory. >> >> How do I get iceweasel to use the plugin?
