Hi, guys -- I've been thinking that one thing we should soon try to provide ourselves with at least a version of c2 that runs at a proper 2500 bps. Looking around for a lazy man's solution, I came across this library: http://qccpack.sourceforge.net/ It does bit packing, but the documentation also says it provides: Error-correcting codes * Field arithmetic, including Gaussian-elimination matrix inversion * Reed-Solomon encoding and decoding * CRC codes * Trellis codes * Hard and soft Viterbi decoding Now the thing is that implementing this library's bit packing is something of a long road, since the interface is not a great match to ours. But I wonder if it would make sense for me to make this attempt if it meant that we'd then get our hands quickly on some of this error-correcting material. 73, -- http://ve9qrp.blogspot.com |
