There are two mouse pointers in the game, in both windowed and full-screen mode. One mouse pointer is Windows standard one and reacts to mouse movement exactly. Other mouse pointer is smaller and follows the path of the first mouse pointer with a delay. This delay is short at the menu screen and quite long at other screens.

This is a side effect of preventing this bug: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&aid=2797666&group_id=75752&atid=544942

If the double mouse pointer bothers you, you can try editing OISInput.cfg in the main FreeOrion directory to set w32_mouse=DISCL_EXCLUSIVE instead of w32_mouse=DISCL_NONEXCLUSIVE

This may cause your mouse cursor to disappear, however.

Should no longer be an issue with the latest SVN, which uses SDL instead of Ogre and OIS.

This bug is still present in most recent build.

What do you consider to be the most recent build? At least on windows, the latest test builds do not show double mouse cursors.

That's the last stable release which is quite outdated now. We've migrated to SDL since then, please try one of the recent test builds, they shouldn't have this issue present anymore.
