I'd not wish to postpone the release over unexpected fallout from a "trivial" bug-fix, especially if the bug is not frequently a problem or was present in 2.0.1. The extra reshape events (caused even on window repositioning) were around for some time (I think since before I came on board, though I very slightly contributed to that by making windows generate a refresh event during CreateNotify). And, I just noticed, I introduced a ripple when I fixed this, since I had not realized how the window->State.{Height,Width} variables were used. I thought that they were descriptive, rather than proscriptive, and used them incorrectly to block "extra" window resize events. -- "I probably don't know what I'm talking about." http://www.olib.org/~rkr/ |
