Using a display list will not magically resolve the problem of each quad being sent in a glBegin/glEnd block rather than one quad strip. I think having reasonably efficient and robust shapes in FreeGLUT is a reasonably self-contained, lower priority kind of task. I'm not volunteering right now - I need to be benchmarking CSG rendering algorithms at the moment... Nigel |
