I'm in favor of pretty much anything that makes the library easier to use and doesn't otherwise do violence to its expected behavior (and especially doesn't change the API). John F. Subject: [Freeglut-developer] pkg-config Hi, I'm considering adding a pkg-config file, so that client applications that use FreeGLUT can use pkg-config to detect it. I got the idea from the mingw-cross-env project which adds this by default to their FreeGLUT package. It can be used under GNU/Linux, Android and MinGW/MSys/Cygwin, to automatically detect the include and library paths, as well as the required libraries for static linking (Libs.private). The end result would be generated by CMake from a freeglut.pc.in file and look like this (in this case, for Android): ----- prefix=/freeglut libdir=${prefix}/lib includedir=${prefix}/include Name: glut Description: A freely licensed and improved alternative to the GLUT library Version: 3.0.0 Libs: -L${libdir} -lglut Libs.private: -llog -landroid -lGLESv2 -lEGL Cflags: -I${includedir} ----- Are you OK with this? -- Sylvain ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- -- This SF email is sponsosred by: Try Windows Azure free for 90 days Click Here http://p.sf.net/sfu/sfd2d-msazure _______________________________________________ Freeglut-developer mailing list Fre...@li... https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/freeglut-developer |
