[Freeglut-developer] Detecting window visibility state, upon iconisation or workspace swap

Hello,

   In my VisibilityFunc callback, I check the glut window visibility state, 
and disable some processing in my app, when the window is completely 
obscured.

   This works well when the window is completely covered by other windows, but 
not when the window is hidden via being iconised/minimised or the user 
switching to a new workspace. The VisibilityFunc callback is only triggered 
when the window is un-iconised, or the user returns to the workspace.

   Is there a way to detect either of these events ? No other callbacks seem 
to be triggered on these events, and I cannot find any change in the windows 
state data which would indicate the window being hidden in either of these 
ways.
