This email has two enclosed sfd files: The enclosed save file named "crashingonsave.sfd" always crash Fontforge on opening it and I am do not know why. This file appear to have a much smaller file size than the one it was derived from. The enlcosed save file named "opensbutwithawarning.sfd" can be opened, but has an error warning which might help explain why Fontforge crash when doing a "save as". (After entering a name and pressing "save".) 1 When "crashingonsave.sfd" was first saved, immediately, from "opensbutwithawarning.sfd", Fontforge crashed on me. I simply tried to save the file having made no changes. 2 Opening the file "opensbutwithawarning.sfd" show a warning that might help explain the following crash when trying to save and for when trying to open a save that crash Fontforge: "When loading tt instrs from sfd: Missing right bracket in command (or bad binary value in bracket)" 3 I used the latest Fontforge and I am using Windows 7 4 I am new to using Fontforge 5 Looking over the older save file "previously.sfd", the only odd thing I see with the shapes I have drawn, are two instances of there being a single "point" appearing outside the main shape, for two different letters respectively. I was probably a little careless and accidentally started drawing a line and then aborted somehow. Might not be important. 6 If I had set up Fontforge wrong, or used wrong values somewhere, I wouldn't know what would be wrong unfortunately. 7 I have created just a few character shapes with no numbers so far, and I put some temporary stuff in other character slots for safe keeping that I intended to maybe use later on. |
