If it's any consolation, Marc, it seems to crash for me in exactly the
same place. OS X 10.6.3, XQuartz 2.3.5 (xorg-server 1.4.2-apple53),
fontforge prebuilt binary "Executable based on sources from 23:48 GMT
23-Sep-2009-ML.
 Library based on sources from 17:32 GMT 14-Sep-2009."

Darwinports' build from the same sources doesn't crash, but won't paste
the glyph data on OS X.
