I love fontforge and until recently it was working flawlessly for me. However, now that I'm experiencing the same problems with Edit | Paste on the Mac as others have reported, I am trying to install your patch (clip.patch). But first a snag: After downloading from CVS, and attempting to build ff from source, ./ configure is getting stuck at this step: "checking trying to find the freetype source directory -- be patient... " I've waited for hours and it does not proceed. I've also tried installing the latest version of freetype (successfully), but ./configure gets stuck at the same place. Question: Is there a particular place I should put the freetype source directory? (freetype make install says it installs itself under /usr/local/ ; when I "locate freetype" there are tons of references to it, including as /usr/X11/include/freetype2/...) Also: I do not think I have any special X11 clipboard manager installed. But how would I check for this to make sure? Thank you, George, for your excellent work! -- Joel Gluck, Boston |
