I've been doing quite a lot of changes with marks, and made some changes that especially affect on/off-type marks like pizz/arco, etc.. I should be able to make another release soon, I'll make sure it's working then. The "[pizz]" syntax is for .fms files only--only .fms files have brackets--if you're using sal or lisp then it's just "pizz". That could be the issue... The documentation uses the .fms file bracket syntax, which I'll change since it's too confusing (although all of the settings docs use the .fms file syntax to show default values). I plan on adding a lot more marks for common score markings, so eventually there will be a "frullato" mark, but until then you can try [x frullato] (or {"x" "frullato"} depending on what frontend you're using). It might appear at the notehead and not above the note--this is another issue that's in the middle of a change and that I'm finishing up now...
