Or is it just more comfortable to use git? > No. I compiled fluxbox from git when 1.3.7 first came out and then kept the repo updated, and then compiled this one round about the 13th October, and I can't see any difference between them. Debian only has 1.3.5 in most of its repos now, just 1.3.7 in 'experimental' and I don't like using anything from there, so I just went ahead and used the git repo.
