Everything had been working fine before hand for weeks with my custom joystick config
I recently started using fgcom this seemed to be working
I made a change to the js config and exited from fgcom now I get this error when ever there is a js config with any data in it

FG works fine under all conditions that i tried except when...

I have a js config in my personal AppData directory with something in it

Meaning if the file is blank, no problems
If the file is a copy of the working built-in js config but in my personal directory FG will fail

The actual files to delete are the cache files in your personal FG directory

Everything was normal until I changed the directories for FlightGear. I paid attention though to edit all the file folders options to run the game. Even the splash screen appears, but the game crashes when loading, and the same message error appears...

I ask that somebody please tell me what's going on so I can fix this damn thing up

If you can, name the folders where I can find these caches, and also the file type they are saved as...

DO NOT go to c:\Program files\flightgear\

They are in your personal flightgeat directory, e.g. c:\users\jvgod96\flightgear.org\ or something like that

You need to look in the *USERS* directory

Well, thx anyway, nice flying to you

Below, there is an image of my user directory. Ignore the non-english folders, just notice that there is no "AppData" saved here...

It doesn't work because the directory seems to be crashed. I've tried it many times, but when I do, a message error appears, saying that the directory doesn't exist, even if we know it does. Probably it is a problem with the Windows, I'll check it out later.

Anyway, I managed to exclude the cache file manually, over the Properties screen of my user. I lost all my FlightGear files saved in the folder, but I don't care, at least I can now play the game :)

Maybe its in a different location or its not called AppData
if you search for flightgear.org you should find the directory where it is kept.
Actually you should be able to copy and paste the home directory used in fgrun

Well, I will try to delete the cache file as you said and run the game. I finally found my AppData, and already moved it to the correct place...

I often have this problem with Windows, most often after some openGL deadlock where i have to do a hard reset to reboot to Windows.

Then, under Users\username\AppData\Roaming\flightgear.org it is sufficient to delete fgfs.pid. There should be no need to dele the whole personal FG directory.
