Hello Hellen, > There is no such thing as a Firebird database that > consists of many > separate gdb (or fdb or anything else) files. as a matter of fact I can only connect via ODBC to the "big" file - no matter if I define the "big" gdb-file or one of the small ones (!!, or simply *.gdb) in the ODBC options. I cannot see the "project" tables/files/whatever. The tables are always the same. So, if I want to link all the tables provided by the ODBC driver in one MS Access database I will not be able to query my projects. Except somebody can tell me what to do. I analyzed my "big" file and a found a table with the "header" information of my "projects/small files" including one field specifying the path and filename of the project file. That's the way the software I bought is set up, no doubt. This may not be state of the art but I cannot change it. I can only recommend to store all projects in a big table within the main database in future versions - which would slow down the whole application, I saw that before with the foxpro application I mentioned...) > An ODBC data source interfaces one Firebird > database with your > application. So, the programm I have is not "following the rules" :( But what can I do? arno __________________________________ Kennt man wirklich jeden über 3 Ecken? Die Antworten gibt's bei Yahoo!
