Context Variables are always character set NONE ----------------------------------------------- Key: CORE-4231 URL: http://tracker.firebirdsql.org/browse/CORE-4231 Project: Firebird Core Issue Type: Improvement Components: Charsets/Collation Affects Versions: 2.5.2 Update 1 Environment: Windows 7 Pro 64-Bit, Firebird 2.5.2.26540 Reporter: Stefan Heymann Priority: Trivial The rdb$set_context and rdb$get_context functions expect and deliver varchar parameters. These are always of character set NONE, independently of the default character set of the database. Context variables should be stored in the default character set of the database or UTF8. Until that is fixed, there should be a mention in the documentation that context variables are not aware of any character set at all. -- This message is automatically generated by JIRA. - If you think it was sent incorrectly contact one of the administrators: http://tracker.firebirdsql.org/secure/Administrators.jspa - For more information on JIRA, see: http://www.atlassian.com/software/jira |
