Dear, Before reporting a bug, I prefer to ask advice here. I have an issue where existing code using dsql_execute_immediate to create a new DB ("CREATE DATABASE ...") fails with FB RC2, while it worked for years with IB5, 5.1, 5.5, 6.0 and all beta of FB up and including RC1. This is on Win32 (I have no Linux to test it). I will post details of the code if you require it, but this sounds enough suspicious to justify some code checkup of what changed between RC1 and RC2 that may impact DB creation through the API. I have a side-question too. There is a : isc_create_database () call declared in the ibase.h But that one was not described in any manuals since 5.x. I remember people from InterBase/Borland told me at the time the right way to create a DB by API was to go through the dsql_execute_immediate fashion and not try to use the undocumented isc_create_database(). What is your advice, today, about this. Thanks, -- Olivier Mascia <om...@ma...> |
