Knowing what I know about linux, the /etc/profile runs first, that tells /etc/bashrc to run. Now, after I upgraded to Panther I noticed these default files ignored the ~/home/.bash_profile, ~/home/.profile, and ~/home/.bashrc So, I motified them to look at my .bashrc simply because that's what I use on my linux servers. Hmm, I notice now I don't have a .profile in my home directory. I renamed .bashrc to .profile and re-opened the terminal and BAM, that's working. Now I just have to work on FinkCommander. Perhaps I should logout and login as Root. On 1/13/04 1:57 PM this was written: > Nothing obvious on the permissions front then. I can't believe that should matter, though.
