Hello, there is a binary version of grass for macOS X that installs very easy with an install script. You shouldn't use fink, as they are way behind with their versions (like with most packages :-(. You can find the package on the grass page: grass.itc.it BTW, I think you can clean /src completely. Did it a few times to free disk space and never had problems.
