Well, really what you're seeing is that it's available for 10.5, but
10.4 has it, too.

That's not the sole problem, most likely.  "db4" represents an ancient
DB version.  It doesn't exist on newer platforms because we've updated
our packages to use newer versions of DB.

I'd recommend trying a newer DB version which is available on 10.8, like
db48 or db48-aes.  That's available on 10.8.  db51 or db53 might be
pushing things.

This is yet another case of a an upstream website that says "use Fink"
but doesn't bother to check our package lists, update for new OS X
versions, etc.

I'm not sure whether or not we can make an official package for mumps to
help folks out.  The license doesn't seem to indicate that the source
can't be redistributed (which we normally need), but since upstream
makes you fill out a form to get the source, that makes things a little
harder.
