Is there a better way to get fink to recognize gfortran? Fink's gfortran is provided by the gcc44 package. We don't support third-party gfortrans (or third-party installs of most anything else, for that matter), and in fact, even having one on your system under /usr/local may wind up causing packages not to build--we've had a number of reports over the years about problems due to third-party compilers. Also, what package are you installing? If it's something that _should_ use gfortran, there may be a missing dependency. On the other hand, configure scripts for packages often check for gfortran whether the package needs it or not--copying and pasting stock scripts, I'd guess. - -- Alexander Hansen Fink User Liaison -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.10 (Darwin) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org/ iEYEARECAAYFAkuGv1UACgkQB8UpO3rKjQ89zQCgizSJ/VlhvPi5abdU4u7481+w xkYAn3AcpCLUU/H/JeFjCvUedn9olOFc =KwSU -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- |
