#332 how do i uninstall video access codec v1.4 ffdshow?

its causing programs on my laptop to shut down. a pop up says to contact ffdshow and brings me to this website. and when i try to uninstall it, it says the installer you are trying to use is corrupted or incomplete, this could be due to a failed download or a virus. i was just wondering if anyone could help me out. thanks
