Another useful feature would be the "compensate overscan" option
(also from divxg400). It puts a black frame around the movie (for tv-out,
where the edge of the picture is invisible due to overscan).

When it would be possible you to implement this Pan&Scan
function in ffdshow like the one present in DIVXG400 filter:
>> Cut sides to vertically fill at last [ ] % of the screen.
>> Cut sides to hirizontally fill at last [ ] % of the screen.
Which would do the job when watching widescreen movies on
overlay redirected to 4:3 TV out. Now it's not possible to
scan movie unless you activate TVout as a desktop and drag
there the player, but this is real pain when you want to
change anything.
Moreover current ffdshow crop filter simply doesn't cut
anything for me, it is zooming picture in the current frame
(ratio) instead of cutting of edges.

Cropping filter now actually crops the image when set to
whole image processing mode.

I seems like a good idea. I will check divxg400 to see how it exactly works
and will try to add this option to ffdshow.
