The output I got directly from motutest this time around was a lot less verbose. This is what I got from when I generated the dumpiso log. The last line about register 0x000b00 came back immediately. I did not need to break out of motutest with a Ctrl-c or power off the 8pre. reverb tmp # ./motutest-20071023-r1 libraw1394 version is 1.3.0 Running with RT scheduling, priority=50 ieee1394 device successfully opened Found 1 port(s) Port 0: Number of nodes: 2 Port name: ohci1394 port 0 node 0: Bus info block length: 4 port 0 node 0: unit directory length is 3 quadlets Port 0 node 0: vendor ID: 0x000001f2 model ID: 0x00100800 GUID: 0x000000000007e919 sw version: 0x0000000f -> found MOTU 8Pre at port 0 node 0 port 0 node 1: Bus info block length: 4 Port 0 node 1: vendor ID: 0x00324fc0 model ID: 0x00000000 GUID: 0x00000000273a1161 sw version: 0x00000000 Using first MOTU fw audio interface found: port 0 node 0 Read reg 0x4000 (mix 1 analog 1 mix controls): 0xff004000 Write 0xff004000 to reg 0x4000): 0 Read reg 0x4000 (mix 1 analog 1 mix controls): 0xff004000 Setting clock to internal 48kHz...
