1. What do you personally plan to use FEAR for? I have no particular plans. I'm just interested in watching it develop. 2. Do you want to contribute, and if so, what? Yes, time permitting. I'm supposed to be contributing a dynamic neural = net module... 3. What do you believe is our greatest asset (technical and = non-technical)? Our enthusiasm for AI. Alex's French genes.=20 4. Is there anything you believe development should focus on? (short /=20 medium term) Short term: Getting a bot up and running. A bot you can play the game = with, not just watch running around. Mid term: I guess that would be getting all the team contributions to = work smoothly with each other. (I'm supporting your comments there Alex) 5. If you had to make a choice between development for the sake of AI or = games, which would it be? My heart says games. My head says AI. 6. If there was only one demo of FEAR, what would you make it? A demo of a bot beating me 1v1 on DM1. Mwhahahaha. That's a long way off = ;0) Be as expressive as you like! Both short and long answers welcome. = Here=20 are mine: 1. Game AI experimentation in the short term; using many different = modules=20 to solve everyday problems with "proper" AI (e.g., learning to aim,=20 deatmatch tactics). Long term, a good framework for more formal = research=20 on high-level learning. 2. Yes, pretty much anything... ;) 3. Technical asset: modularity, non technical: potential impact of = such=20 technology on the game-dev industry. 4. Design of formal specifications for components and modules. 5. AI 6.
