Hi all, I was experimenting with starting eXist in stand-alone server mode. I used bin/server.sh to start the database (ports 8088 and 8451) while working with the following: Running with Java 1.6.0_35 in System/Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines/1.6.0.jdk/Contents/Home] eXist Version : 2.1-dev eXist Build : 20120909 eXist Home : unknown SVN Revision : 17107 Mac OS X 10.6.8 x86_64 I then tried to shut down the server using the following "java -jar start.jar shutdown -uri=xmldb:exist://localhost:8088/xmlrpc" as noted in the Database Deployment documentation http://exist-db.org/exist/deployment.xml#d89576e545, but received the following error message in the console: "MarkSgam:exist-trunk marksgambettera$ java -jar start.jar shutdown -uri=xmldb:exist://localhost:8088/xmlrpc Shutting down database instance at xmldb:exist://localhost:8080/exist/xmlrpc/db ERROR: shutdown failed CAUSE: Failed to read server's response: Connection refused" It seems my shutdown request is going to the wrong address. I was not able to locate help through searching MarkMail or exist-open, so I could use some additional schooling if anyone has a moment. I definitely leaped before I looked. Thanks, Mark |
