I assumed that when we talk about XForms in eXist it is always betterForms. I run 1.5.0.dev 20111130 on XP No I don't use 'replace="all"' but according the the XForms spec that should be the default, shouldn't it? It might help to post which version of eXist you're running along with what package you're using for rendering your XForms, as there are multiple ones out there. I'm assuming you're using betterFORM. In this particular instance, it would also be helpful to post a snippet of your submission code. I have a question for you: Are you using the 'replace="all"' attribute in your XForm submission? There are always some extra parameters on the URL (e.g. submissionResponse) (ugly!). If I remove these , the page behaves normal again and renders the XForms controls correctly. ??? Is this by intent? Why these extra ugly looking parameters? Why does the submitted page not render XForms anymore?
