Hi Joe, > Is there a facility in the > templating framework to insert nodes into both the html:head and the > html:body? I imagine that people who want to insert custom scripts or CSS > into the html:head might have the same question. While migrating more examples to the demo apps package, I encountered above problem again. I solved it by adding an optional parameter to the templates:surround instruction. It allows me to specify which part of the template document should be used to enclose the content. For example, in my view, I now have an HTML head and body, but the body is incomplete and calls templates:surround to pull in the rest: <body class="templates:surround?with=templates/page.html&at=content&using=body"> Check http://exist.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/exist/apps/demo/examples/special/json.html?view=markup for the entire example.
