Hi everyone, I'm trying to write a routine to insert XML-Documents into the eXist-db using an xquery-script. The Script is using util:parse to get the xml of an uploaded file. Most of the time this works fine. But some of the files I'm getting start with a BOM (Byte Order Mark, ). In this cases util:parse won't work anymore. Is there a way to recognize or even delete the BOM with xquery or eXist? Any Advice how to handle this problem anyone? Cheers Daniel -- Daniel Ebner Dipl.-Medienwissenschaftler, Wiss.
