> Wolfgang, you mentioned some test cases that I would need to add to what I was already thinking of. We'll talk more about test coverage before anything gets committed to trunk. Well, there are various scenarios: external DTD only; combined internal and external DTD; DTD resolved through the catalog. > Casey, are you interested in hacking on this as well? I'd like to target the 1.4.x branch and roll it into 1.5/1.6 when it's ready, since that will let my people get early access to the feature (I'm doing this for selfish reasons, I'll admit). It may never make it into the official 1.4.x branch, mind you - I have customizations that I already apply to eXist, so this would just be more of the same. Well, if you want to have a chance that this stuff can be ported into the official 1.4.x branch, you should restrict your changes to the necessary. The less core classes are modified, the easier it is to make sure that stability is guaranteed. > I don't have access to eXist subversion. How about you, Casey? If we aren't working in the main subversion repository, I can set up a copy of eXist source at code.google.com. I will be happy to grant you access to the eXist SVN to create a branch. This will make it easier to merge your changes. All I need is your SF id. Wolfgang |
