In the last couple of months, I've filed quite a number of bugs, 
amounting to a decent number of test cases, now scattered over the SF 
bugtracker. If it could help you, I wouldn't mind committing them directly.

OTOH:
     -mainly documenting bugs, they mostly focus on broken behaviour; 
though it wouldn't harm to have those bugs fixed, I can imagine those 
failing tests could block the build process (some of them relate to 
quite fundamental XQuery features)?
     -I'm only vaguely familiar with the eXist source tree, so I'm not 
always too sure where they'd belong
