The only difference between running on localhost and a remote server
should be the time it takes to receive the query results over the
network. The query itself should execute as fast as before. Is there
any difference in the eXist configuration (conf.xml) between both
machines? Maybe a very small cache setting? Otherwise I don't really
see where the difference could come from.
