Hi all, I have an exist 1.4 DB on my windows 7 machine (32bit, 3GB ram, running on VMWare Workstation) I developed a complex query and run it using the java interface: 4100 ms Then I backup and restored the db on a linux machine Ubuntu server (32bit, 2GB ram, 2 core, running on VMWare Workstation) I execute the same query using the java interface running on windows 7 and opening the remote DB: 510.000 ms I cannot run the query directly to the machine, because it is a server, without any UI nor browser. Are there any hidden interaction between the client and the server? As you can see, the query is very easy and (should????) run entirely on server side. import module namespace tree = "http://arianna.diviana.net/xquery/tree" at "xmldb:exist:///db/arianna/pgm/nomos/tree.xqm"; declare option exist:serialize "method=xml media-type=text/xml"; tree:load("ki:u-221f55f6-8287-46c1-8700-55a11444ad17", "abc42") Anyone can help me to understand? What am I missing? Thank you Paolo |
