Category: None Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: rix0rrr (rix0rrr) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: No exception on database error Initial Comment: I have eXist running in a servlet container. If an exception occurs during database configuration, this exception is logged but not thrown again (org.exist.storage.BrokerPool.java:238). This leads to an unhelpful error message later on say "No database instance available" when the database instance is retrieved when a request is handled. In my case, the actual error was a NoClassDefFoundError but this was harder than necessary to diagnose because the actual exception leading to the error was silently consumed. A simple rethrowing of the exception in the configure() method would solve this issue. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=117691&aid=2979175&group_id=17691 |
