Hello Caudius, Your requests are not bothering me, I just think that your extension steps can be implemented in pure xproc. It might be useful to explain the various ways eXist XProc can be extended. I) use p:declare-step to create a 'new step': this is the simplest method of extending xproc with your own steps and grouping them using p:library (though p:library is currently disabled u can still use your own steps, this will change soon) II) extend using pure xquery: this is what you have been doing ... perfectly valid ... and I think the steps you are creating are probably useful for many people I would rather bundle a library of type I) xproc steps III) extend using pure xslt: I have yet to show this method IV) extending using pure java: as eXist xquery is created using java I will be creating an adaptor to let people author xquery steps in pure java I think part of the problem is that there are things 'in progress' ... so will formulate an example of your extension steps using p:declare-step in near future. keep the comments coming.
