Webdav is rather a complex protocol..... when yu dive deeper into it, esp. in rev2 > So my latest crazy idea for the developers is that I can maybe > checkout of Subversion into my exist data directory? > in here only the binary files are stores, no XML documents. When XML documents are stored here you cannot query these. I really like to suggest not to peek and poke here manually. It is not designed to write here by yourself. If you do... warrenty is void (or even less)! So please don't hack here. You'll mess up all kind of internal administration and you'll end up in an undefined and unstable situation > So, is this a promising avenue for folks who are running eXist > locally, or a rathole? > Really don't. eXist does not store the XML data as files in the filesystem, that is a complete misconception of our NXD. regards Dannes |
