The Java heap size exception... might that have anything to do with my
system configuration? Space allowed for Java execution for
instance...? What would be a reasonable configuration for Tomcat and
eXist on a sun fire machine? Does anyone know?

By the way, is there some way of configuring eXist to stop queries
that take too long to execute?

(But this doesn't really explain the slow execution that comes before
the heap size exception... I think...)
