Hi, backing up a large document over the network may consume quite a lot of memory on the server. However, you should be able to start the client in embedded mode and backup the data this way. In embedded mode, the data is directly streamed to disk. First copy all the files from webapp/WEB-INF/data to a safe place - just in case something goes wrong. Shut down the server. Start the Java client in embedded mode: bin/client.sh -l and try to create a backup of your data. I hope this works. Concerning the corruption after the xupdate, I would need to know which eXist version you are currently using. If it is a recent version, it would be interesting to see if the problem can be reproduced easily. Wolfgang |
