Hi guys, I have been doing a little work on the SOAP services. As far as I can tell there are two major problems with the current services: - RPC/encoded services are susceptible to interoperability problems (bad ju-ju) - The services provide limited functionality I have converted the current services into "Wrapped Style" (variation on document/literal). According to Anne Thomas Manes, this is the recommended way to convert RPC/encoded services to WS-I compliant services. Fortunately this requires no changes to the Java Client software although some modification of my GSOAP based C++ client was required. Hopefully this will improve interoperability. I have also started to implement some of the extra functionality provided by the XML-RPC client. So far I have implemented: storeBinaryResource getBinaryResource getCollectionDesc I have a few questions: 1) Are there any other issues with the Soap services that need addressing? 2) Which extra functions should be implemented? 3) Are there any instructions/procedures re submitting patches to the project?
