Hi, for a simple document history, you can use trigger class org.exist.collections.triggers.HistoryTrigger. It stores a copy of the document into the /db/history collection whenever you update or remove a doc. I used this, for example, on a server which is updated by several people via WebDAV. I'm not sure if a real versioning mechanism should be in the scope of eXist. There are dedicated versioning tools like svn, which do the job quite well. And it should be possible to interface them with eXist in some way. But I won't object if someone wants to further explore XML versioning ... Wolfgang |
