[Exist-open] intersect, except and union operators?

Does eXist support the intersect, except and union XQuery operators?

The interesect opertor would be very useful for me.
I have tried the following in the Admin client -

declare variable $list1
{
	<list>
		<item>wheel</item>
		<item>can</item>
		<item>bean</item>
	</list>
};

declare variable $list2
{
	<list>
		<item>bean</item>
	</list>
};

$list1 intersect $list2


I would of expecting to get the result <list><item>bean</item></list> but
instead I get nothing :-(
