Does it attempt to read the floppy or something (shouldn't)? If so,
maybe try FreeDOS instead? In FreeDOS the kernel is jumped to directly
instead of using boot OS interrupt which relies on INT13H remapping of
the boot media to ramdisk, which your BIOS seems to ignore or reset.
