It could be that the code has been wrong for a while. Michael it was not
clear to me whether you meant 5.0 was also wrong or it went awry in 5.2.

However I'm inclined to side with Michael even if it breaks previous
expectations because otherwise there is no way to specify wait forever
at the prompt and it is a common redefinition of 0 for Unix time values,
to mean infinity.
