espeak crashes when I make it pronounce two words:

ciné-vérité

and

chiefdom

the command was

espeak -q -ven-gb --ipa -f tmp.txt

and the word was on the only line in tmp.txt

    Which version of eSpeak and which operating system?

    Does the fault occur with eSoeak version 1.47.03 ?

    It seems it was because of the UTF-8 with BOM. Removing BOM fixed the problem.

    I cannot reproduce this crash using a file starting with a BOM and your example words, on Windows 7 64-bit and eSpeak 1.47.03.

    Please confirm your eSpeak version by doing the command: espeak --version.

    Please email to me a text file which causes this crash, and explain exactly what you do to cause the crash. I want to understand what can cause an eSpeak crash.
