Hi Kjell, could you please send info on the version of Java you are using, as well as the architecture you're on. but in thinking about this a little more, I'm thinking that you are using a version of the RTK not compatible with .org. You must use an 0705-compatible implementation, such as epp-rtk-java in the 0.7.x release series, which knows how to read the 4-byte size header present in the EPP TCP transport specification (draft release 05 of epp over tcp). Hopefully this doesn't confuse things too much more, but the 0.7.x releases of the java RTK support all of the "popular" drafts of EPP, so when running the session example, be sure to specify "0705" with run_example.sh/run_example.bat Let me know if you further info or explanation about all these version thingies...
