[E-devel] Background question

That's perhaps not the right place to ask, but I don't know if there
are any other e lists, and e.org is being redesigned at the moment, so
I'll have to ask my questions here. ;)
If I set a background which is say 1280*1024 (smaller thatn 1600*1200)
e doesn't scale the background, it just stretches it. Is there a way
to scale the backgrounds right? WindowMaker could do that and if I
set the background with gnoemcc, it works fine, but when I change the
desktop and go back the background is gone (well, it's the one it has
been before). Could anyone help me? Thanks ;)

The sticker on the side of the box said "Supported Platforms: Win 95,
Win NT 4.0 or better", so clearly Linux was a supported platform.
