While on that subject, python EFL bindings no longer compile under Ubuntu 10.04, but they used to. It's the version of Cython needed, Ubuntu 10.04 supplies 0.11.2. It used to work, until recent commits increased the needed Cython version. Ubuntu 10.04 is still officially supported by Canononical, and still in use by lots of people. Hell, some versions of 8.04 are still supported. Yes, I know, Cython is not needed for compiling from tarballs, but I compile from SVN. :-P I have always said that we should use the lowest version of dependencies that is possible, coz people are still using old versions for good reasons. Having bleeding edge dependencies just results in lots of bleeding. -- A big old stinking pile of genius that no one wants coz there are too many silver coated monkeys in the world. |
