I believe that we may be able to make a communication protocol and INI variables that will do either or both of these. I'm with Jim that the LCD will permit much more info to be displayed. I'm also with you that when I'm working with a pendant to get the whirling end mill within 0.005 of the cut, and the customer for the part has just opened the shop door, I don't want to be squinting to see whether I'm in continuous or incremental mode.
