Hi all, We discovered that the gnu-efi version in the documentation provided with the Intel patches was wrong. version gnu-efi3.0c or greater was cited. The version actually containing the new uefi wrapper function went into gnu-efi3.0d. Whats worse the elilo 3.7 source tarball will actually build against an older version of gnu-efi putting out only numerous warnings for implicit declaration of function uefi_call_wrapper()(provided by the gnu-efi library) but finishing the build producing bad binaries that always result in a system trap. The posted elilo-3.7-ia64.efi binary was bad. I posted a new 3.7-ia64 binary built against the correct version of gnu-efi today and tested on a debian install and a netboot. also posted the 3.7-ia32 binary built with the correct toolchain however I still dont have a machine to test this on,(but ive asked the gnu-efi maintainer to test it as I know he does ;). the x86_64 binary shouldve been ok, if its not, let me know. I havent tested it. Cheers, -jason ___________________________________ JASON FLEISCHLI HP - Open Source Linux Organization Ft. Collins CO (970)898-0874 |
